Using McDonalds Coupons

Dining out can be a pleasurable, interesting and enlightening experience for individuals and families alike even if you opt to use McDonalds Coupons. It often exposes people to new types of food, new ethnic backgrounds, and new atmospheres and can be a wonderful way to relax and enjoy the company of friends or leisure time. Eating out at restaurants is a recreational expense, and unfortunately, during hard economic times, it is also an expendable expense due to high costs and limited financial capabilities. However, by learning to use tools such as restaurant coupons, one may not have to forego the pleasantries of eating out in favor of their pocket book.

There are many types of restaurant coupons. Printable coupons can be found online, through restaurant websites and home pages. Other coupons can be purchased in booklet form along with other types of coupons for different activities. There are also “buy-one-get-one-free” coupons which may be applicable to anything from full meals, to appetizers, desserts, or drinks, where in once one item is purchased, the second item is free or of no charge. A different variation on this coupon is a 50% discount coupon wherein the total amount of the bill is reduced by 50%. These types of coupons often come with very specific parameters that often include spending a specific amount of money, or the coupon itself may only be used for certain promotional deals or items.

Gift certificates may be applied to the final bill in replace of monetary funds, or may discount the final bill for a certain percentage as long a specific amount of money (or above the amount) was spent at the restaurant offering the deal. Other types of restaurant coupons may be applicable in situations when combined with certain promotional deals, for example, participating in a community event or fundraiser, or belonging to a particular club such a motor association, may earn you a percentage off of your meal when you provide proof of participation or membership. Other coupons or promotional deals may be available only to those that frequent establishments a certain number of times prior to receiving a coupon discount. Still other types of restaurant coupons may be found in mail-out offers, email in-boxes, based on residency in a particular area, or might be located in magazines, flyers, or books.

The varieties of different types of restaurant coupons is literally endless, though apart from the offer specific to the coupons, one must be very aware they read the fine printed details. These details will often include specific times one can use a coupon, expiry dates, locations that accept the coupons, and any details that might void the use of the coupons. It is also very important to note whether the type of restaurant coupon specifies if you should mention your intention to use it prior to ordering as this can be essential information for the waitress or server to note when ringing in the order and if not mentioned can cause some hassle for yourself when paying the bill if changes need to be made.

Using proper coupon etiquette and courtesy such as following the rules of the coupon, will ensure far less likelihood of drawing attention to the fact that you will be using a coupon, and will avoid any complications with billing and payment. In addition to following coupon etiquette, when tipping for a meal for which you have used a coupon for, base your tip on the amount the meal would have cost without the use of the coupon; most servers simply view coupons as another form of payment and will still serve you to the best of their ability. Treating waitress staff with proper etiquette will not only make you a memorable customer, but also ensure you are serviced to the best of their ability with each additional visit you make to an establishment, even if you’re just using McDonalds coupons.
